West Herts Trophies
Throughout the 1990’s and beyond, members of West Herts entered an annual friendly competition covering several events.
First, the Freewheel Competition. Winner was the member who cycled the longest distance free wheel. A favourite venue was the long download from Wing to the crossroads leading to Mentmore. Then there was Pace Judging. A short ride was initiated, members cycling at a pace to suit them, then to judge the same pace on their return ride. Quite a skill. The Ladies Trophy as set on attendance. The last date they were all presented was 2008. Also shown is the Jersey the West Herts Group wore during those years.
